Communication & connection
Find appropriate support for communication difficulties, emotional distance, trust concerns, changing expectations and feeling disconnected. We can help identify counsellors or community organizations to approach.
Marriage & relationship support
Relationships can face difficult seasons. Whether you are feeling unheard, adjusting to life in a new country, living apart from your partner or navigating change, a helping hand can make the next step feel less overwhelming.

Rooted in lived experience
Our founder, Fortunate Mugwara, is an African immigrant. She brings personal understanding of moving countries, living across cultures and the importance of family and community. That experience shapes her desire to create a welcoming place for African immigrant women facing marriage or relationship challenges.
Women can come to us to talk, be heard and explore the support they need. We listen with care, make room for cultural context and help connect them with relevant, qualified counsellors and family services.
African cultures and individual families are diverse. We begin with each woman’s own story, values and wishes. Women from every background are welcome, and partners or family members can be included when appropriate and wanted.

Moving countries can bring changing work patterns, financial pressures, different parenting expectations, language barriers and separation from familiar support networks. Connections to settlement and family services can help women explore their options.
Connect with suitable professionals and practical resources when navigating long-distance relationships, reunification, parenting changes, separation or decisions about the future.
Immigrant & refugee families
Settlement is about relationships and belonging as well as finding work and housing. We help women explore community connections and services that understand their language, culture, family circumstances and personal priorities.
Where available, women can ask providers about language support, culturally responsive counselling, fees and appointment options.
